Standard Academic Professional Titles
Position standards have been developed for a number of frequently used titles that meet the criteria for exemption from the State Universities Civil Service System as Academic Professional positions. These standards will apply to University positions when a position's primary function and major duties and responsibilities are consistent with those described in the Standard description. While the duties of specific positions approved under the same Standard title may vary, the basic function and responsibility level should determine the appropriate assignment to a Position Standard.
University colleges and/or departments determine salary structures for Academic Professional positions.
